My Bella Yvette

So, it’s true what they say. By the time #5 comes, there is less and less time for pictures and documenting. Poor kid. 😉

But God is good! I had been whining to Him that I couldn’t find just 10 minutes to capture her adorable stage of smiles and stares, of careful observation while she sits and grabs and learns to clap. I wanted so desperately to snap a few shots before I blinked and another month had passed! And believe me, I tried. But it was becoming quite apparent when the almost perfect picture was completely blurred due to toddlers climbing on my back or quarreling or dinner burning or…daylight fleeting…or…you get the point, that I was gonna have to let it go. Well, as if finding our dream home on a quick, spontaneous trip that started out as “Let’s just drive through some new areas” wasn’t good enough, while we were at the home of the real estate agent we spent the day with (who happens to be the daughter-in-law of Mimi’s best friend of 30+ years) meeting her family, and saying goodbye to all the farm animals, her daughter, Jen, a beautiful young momma of 2 runs to her desk to grab her camera and says “I just gotta get her eyes!” She snapped a few pics which didn’t take more than 60 seconds and I didn’t think much of it, but she said she would email them to me and handed me a card with her photography website on it (www.lightsofminephotography.com).

She did indeed send them and I was beyond thrilled! WOW!!!!

So, here you are my Bella Yvette Bella at nearly 8 months…

Property day-77I just wish I had dressed her in something a little cuter than a dirty hand-me-down onesie PJ, hehe 😉

But I really don’t think it would have mattered much

Property day-51Not only were her pictures amazing but this was another reminder to me how REAL and AMAZING our God is…I mean, really? The Creator of the freakin’ Universe and of the billions of humans and creatures has time to listen to little old me, a “plain Jane” stay at home mom of 5 in 2015 who is complaining about desiring a few pictures of my sweet baby. I mean, really? I’m sure there are millions of more important people, more urgent matters than my shallow, silent, peevish, self pitying cry…. But He not only heard me, He not only listened, He answered and answered in such an unexpected way far exceeding my expectations!  Coincidence???

I think not!

Property day-78What a good God we serve who cares about every thought and every desire we surrender to Him. No matter how small or simple. Who wants to give us what is good for us and show us how above all, what He desires the most is for us to TRUST Him, just like a baby trusts that she will be given everything she needs and that is good for her.

He wants intimacy with us.

Now doesn’t that just make you smile?
