What a fun tradition we have on Marcella Way…
This year, our kids were really spoiled, Neighbors on both sides rented bounce houses, 1 with a water slide and invited the kids over. 1 of the pickets on our fence had popped off a few days prior creating the perfect crawl space for our kids to enjoy 2 front yards full of activities throughout the whole day…
They must have gone done 100 times for over 3 hours!
Who has time to feel post pardon baby blues or sleep deprived when you’re too busy capturing this adorable face? NOT ME!!!
And this guy got serious air every time he hit the bottom of the slide and had absolutely no fear! It was so much fun watching his face light up each and every time he stumbled out of the pool and hearing his cackle all the way from the inside of our house…
This little one wandered about perfectly content observing all the action and taking little breaks to soak her chubby fingers in plenty of Cheeto gunk 😉
I’m so glad that this dress handmade by Auntie Sherry has been worn by all three of our princesses and awaiting 1 more…
We enjoyed a scrumptious All-American BBQ meal of corn on the cob, watermelon, baked beans, hamburgers and hot dogs in between gazing upon new life.
Needless to say, the littles took great naps after hours in the sun despite the loud booms of the fireworks that started early in the morning (actually days before)
And despite the argument involved (guess who won?) we succeeded in squeezing in a group shot in the short time where everyone was awake at the same time! (& of course someone had to take off their cute matching red, white and blue outfit before I could do anything about it, grrr..)
After naps, we headed out back to make some dessert on Bapa’s amazingly hand-crafted fire pit.
Finger linkin’ good…
Bapa & Mimi with all 5 sitting still? amazing!
I was surprised Amelie sat through almost 2 hours of spectacular fireworks….Then again, these are not your typical “legal” sparks of light . We’re talking Disneyland firework show here, and for a lot longer 😉
It was most definitely a fun family day! We are SO blessed!!!!

Yes, indeed, July 4th has become a family tradition that I look very forward to each year. I have wonderful memories of the past several years and hope to experience many more. Awesome shots of the kids, especially candid expressions on the slide.
