The Christmas Season, 2011

I was tempted to think I was way “behind” in documenting our Christmas happenings but as I mentioned in this post, the Church doesn’t just celebrate a one day event but rather a season of events all year long and all centered around the life of Christ and so we have still been enjoying the… Continue Reading

Her.i.tage

(noun) 1. something somebody is born into 2. riches of past 3. passing from generation to generation A couple of  weekends ago, Bapa Frank came over for our monthly tradition of gathering, catching up, laughing, encouraging, and sharing an early Christmas celebration. Our time together was extra special seeing the girls unwrap their baby doll… Continue Reading

The Last One (& a huge prayer request)

It’s no coincidence that I was planning on posting this days (or maybe weeks) ago but didn’t have the chance until tonight. God has a way of using every big and little thing to work together for His plans. His timing is always perfect. Always. This is the last hand-made onesie made at his shower… Continue Reading

Five Months

It’s a tough job, but someone’s gotta do it! I can’t believe another month has passed! It seems like I was just documenting your 4th month yesterday. I agree, it’s just nonsense! Well, 1 thing’s for certain. You keep growing. As shown above, you are chunuuuu-nky & never mind what I was saying last month… Continue Reading

It’s the most wonderful time…

Of the Year!!! I love how our Church has the liturgical year, ie: seasons and events during the calendar year that signify the sorrows and joys of Christ throughout his life as well as our humanity. It reminds us of our purpose on earth, deepens our sense of wonder and helps us walk with Him… Continue Reading

Thankful

Thankful for God-fearing parents who do their best to follow Christ’s teaching & whose marriage is a testament of God’s grace. For gathering… Continue Reading

Sister time

The girls spent Monday and Tuesday with Mimi. In the meantime,  I got to spend quality time with my baby sister before starting her new job. We had a blast shopping, dining, staying up late talking until we fell asleep on the couch with all the lights on, sleeping in, online browsing, decorating, even the… Continue Reading

Milestones

Out of nowhere, this one started counting to 10 and sorting by color and shape. The same day she shocks me with her newly acquired knowledge, this one started grabbing his feet, rocking and rolling from back to front. And then this one started writing paragraphs in Latin for the 1st time. *I should also… Continue Reading

Recovering

We are recovering. Recovering from being away from any sort of routine. And recovering from sickness. Yep, as soon as we got home, Sweet G started with the sniffles. Within days, it was a lovely well rounded cold with coughing, conjestion, fever and mucous. Lots and lots of mucous. Spicy trailed just behind her and… Continue Reading

4 Months

My handsome one. When daddy saw this picture, he asked, “who is that?” and was completely sincere. Nice one Dean, don’t even recognize your own offspring.  I agree, it’s an odd angle and doesn’t look much like you without those chubby cheeks and full lips but it is you and I thought it was a… Continue Reading
