The Last One (& a huge prayer request)

It’s no coincidence that I was planning on posting this days (or maybe weeks) ago but didn’t have the chance until tonight. God has a way of using every big and little thing to work together for His plans. His timing is always perfect. Always.

This is the last hand-made onesie made at his shower that Super-Soren will be wearing. It’s 18 mos (Gerber brand, which runs way small). I barely squeezed him into it. All of the others are neatly folded and packed away. Tear. I thought he would be set for his entire 1st year. Little did I know he would be so big at only 20 weeks of age.

I love the initials on the bum that Michelle so patiently stitched on.

So now, on to the important stuff. I’m calling on everyone I know, every eye that comes across the words on this blog entry to lift your eyes and your heart upward and storm heaven with great faith (the kind that moves mountains) for my dear friend, Michelle, the one that made this adorable onesie. The one that is fighting cancer. The one that I have never heard complain. Not once. The one I am blessed to see & hug when we drop off and pick up our littles to class every Wednesday.  The one who is always smiling from ear to ear as she deals with losing her hair and tremendous chemo side effects. You never would know. Never. She is an UH.MA.ZING wife, mommy, woman and child of God. Her faith, her strength, her courage, her inner beauty inspire me & encourage me to be better. Truly a hero. Anyway, pray for her in her fight. Pray for an increase in faith. Pray for comfort. Pray for a miraculous healing of her body. Pray for peace and joy within and for her husband and children. Pray for God to use this family for His glory and for a greater good to come about through this trial & suffering. Pray for His love & power & might to shine and for whatever comes to your heart in your conversation with Him. Just pray. I believe in prayer and I believe our prayers are powerful.

Thank you.

“I am certain of it that Our Lord will eventually bring to the harbor of salvation, the one who gives himself to prayer.” (Saint Teresa of Avila)

Have no anxiety at all, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. Then the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it. John 14:13-14

  1. Dear Marisa, So happy to have some “spare time” to read your blog, I had actually lost the address, and found it in an email that I had saved. Well, apart from really enjoying the photos, I read your message for your friend, and without delay our prayers for her are on the way. God bless you . aunt Yoli
