10 months

Well, hello there princess!

This last month has been a big one for you!
*You got your 1st big hair cut, creating a much less baby and much more mature look to coincide with your  demeanor.
*You have stretched out a lot, losing much of your arm and thigh rolls which is both exciting and sad to see at the same time.
*You have become much more vocal babbling as if you are naming things or bursting with random loud grunts, (usually during the most quiet, sacred times of mass, of course).
*You are pulling yourself up a lot (in your crib, on coffee tables, or doors) and moving those feet as you do so, definitely showing signs of wanting to walk.
*You have cut your 1st 2 teeth, on the bottom, with very little changes to your sweet temperament.
*You have started to groove to music which makes daddy and I laugh every time. You bounce a little with your body but mainly just swing your left arm from front to back. Awkward and yet so adorable.
*You are practically feeding yourself, be it, frozen bananas or grapes, turkey, rice, carrots or crackers which is both convenient when I just don’t have 15 minutes to sit and spoon feed you but also makes for a big clean-up.
*I must continue to repeat myself for the record but you continue to be an amazing night sleeper (averaging 12 hours) and take 1 to 2 great naps during the day! I am trying my hardest to appreciate this dearly and not hold it as the standard for all future Soto babies as I realize that is unrealistic and unfair but you sure do make it tempting.
*You have made the adjustment of a new pregnancy a smooth one for mommy replacing nausea with this…
Although, initially I was hoping to get action shots of you such as your open-mouth cackle showing off those pearly whites or standing up or showing off the new things you have learned, these are a perfect illustration of you
 Simply Sweet!
You are one beautiful baby, inside and out, and we love you so much!

  1. Happy 10 months sweetness! I love the lighting in these photos, and of course, G's perfect cute face and pearls/headband/tutu skirt 🙂

  2. It is hard to believe that 10 months have passed since that day in the hospital when we welcomed sweet Genevieve into the world. These pictures capture so much of G's personality. She is such a gift to our family and every day brings new delight in watching her grow and develop. Love you, Dad
